Spooky Swap Meet Returns This April; Tickets On Sale Friday

Spooky Jack sells his skull-inspired wares at Spooky Swap Meet

Spooky Swap Meet, the annual shopping event marking the halfway point to Halloween, is set to make its return to Heritage Square Museum in Los Angeles, CA, on Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30.

This year, Spooky Swap Meet is expected to have over 60 vendors offering selections of gothic furnishings, Halloween-inspired decor, apparel, props, and more. New for this year, the event will also feature an original walk-thru haunted attraction explicitly created for the event by Fear Farm. Fortune telling and food will also be available for purchase.

“We designed Spooky Swap Meet to allow for both guests and vendors to experience some ‘spring screaming,'” said Spooky Swap Meet Co-Creator Claire Dunlap. “As we enter our third year, we’re proud the event has become a tradition for sellers to clear out their storage units and share the spooky wealth with Halloween fans looking for treasures year-round, as well as getting to experience a little spookiness half-way between last October 31 and the next.”

Guests of all ages are encouraged to trick-or-treat at the seven stops of Heritage Square’s manors whose exteriors have been decorated and “spooked up” for the weekend by “house hosts” including AdamJessFx, Art’s Sideshow, a Bones’ Gulch and Samhain’s Lot collaboration, A Mr. He Slasher, LA Haunted Hayride, and Vamp & The Fiends. For those who like boogie, LVCRFT and Skeleton Sam will host a Halloween dance party at the top of each hour.

Tickets for Spooky Swap Meet 2023 will go on sale Friday, February 10 at 10 AM PST at spookyswapmeet.com. General admission is $18 for timed entries between 11 AM and 7 PM Saturday and 10 AM-5 PM Sunday. The VIP ticket option ($28) allows for entry at 10 AM on Saturday, when ticket buyers will be the first to have access to the one-of-a-kind offerings guaranteed to be made available by every vendor participating.

For folks who have attended past years’ events, you’ll be excited to know that for 2023, the event entrance will be at 3515 Pasadena Ave, the back entrance of the museum, with free parking across the street at Metro Gold Lot, Heritage Square Station. Parking at the Metro lot is first come, first served, and limited. Neighborhood parking is also available. There will also be a few VIP parking spots for pre-purchase only ($25). There will be no entry or parking except for ADA with a placard from the Homer Street side.
