Console Heroes, the new playsets that are essentially Polly Pocket for gaming enthusiasts, drew early attention for their SEGA Genesis cartridge playsets, featuring titles like “Sonic the Hedgehog,” “Altered Beast,” and “Street Fighter II.” But now that they’re up for pre-order, there’s a surprise addition to the lineup: “Stranger Things.”
While “Stranger Things” has received video game adaptations, this diorama playset isn’t housed in a game cartridge; instead, it is made to look like a VHS tape. The VHS tape transforms into a detailed 3D scene of the iconic classroom battle between Eleven and the Demogorgon from the first season of the hit Netflix series. The playset features Eleven and the Demogorgon figures plus five scene-setting accessories, including a table, stool, microscope, slingshot, and trash can.

The one downside to the new playsets is that, unlike Polly Pocket, the figures and accessories cannot be stored inside their themed capsules.
The new VHS Stars Stranger Things Eleven vs. Demogorgon Diorama Playset is available for pre-order now for $29.99 and is estimated to arrive in September.
