Teaser Offers First Glimpse at Jane Schoenbrun’s Upcoming Horror ‘Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma’

Following the neon-drenched success of “I Saw the TV Glow,” filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun is returning to the big screen this summer. MUBI has officially released the first teaser for “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma,” a meta-horror feature set to haunt theaters on August 7, 2026.

The film stars Hannah Einbinder (“Hacks”) as an ambitious young director tasked with rebooting a legendary, long-running slasher franchise. When she fixates on the prospect of casting a reclusive actress who played the franchise’s original ‘final girl’ (Gillian Anderson, “The X-Files”), the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium.

Produced by MUBI and Brad Pitt’s Plan B, the film boasts a stacked supporting cast that includes Eva Victor (“Sorry, Baby”), Zach Cherry (“Severance”), Sarah Sherman (“Saturday Night Live”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Scream 7”), and Jack Haven (“I Saw the TV Glow”), among others.

“Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma” hits theaters across the U.S. and Canada on August 7.
