The Kids Aren’t Alright: Red Band Trailer Arrives for Eli Roth’s ‘Ice Cream Man’

On Wednesday, the official red band trailer for Eli Roth’s upcoming horror film “Ice Cream Man” arrived, giving fans their first look at the brutality of the summer horror film.

Co-written by Roth and Noah Belson, “Ice Cream Man” centers on an idyllic summer town that descends into absolute madness when a local ice cream vendor serves children sweet delights with horrifying results. Before you ask: no, this isn’t a remake of the 1995 Clint Howard cult classic. It’s a completely original, malicious vision.

This time around, the sweet treats turn the local kids into a pint-sized army of ravenous murderers targeting the town’s adults. The red band trailer boasts some of the most inventive and mean-spirited kills we’ve seen in a while, made infinitely more disturbing by the fact that they’re being carried out by smiling children.

Check out the full trailer below, but be warned: this one is absolutely not for the faint of heart.

The movie stars Ari Millen, Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer, Charlie Storey, and Roth himself.

“Ice Cream Man” will arrive in theaters on August 7, 2026.
