The Munsters and King Kong Among Toy Prototypes Being Sold Off by Action Figure and Statue Artist Tim Bruckner

If you’ve ever wanted to own a toy prototype, there is an incredible opportunity currently available thanks to hobbyDB and sculptor and designer Tim Bruckner.

The iconic artist, who for decades created action figures and statues for most notably DC, is selling off a number of pieces from his archives. Pieces range from complete prototypes to paint masters, tool parts, and more. And while yes, the bulk of the items are from DC and feature popular characters like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, there are a number of pieces among the collection that horror fans might be interested in.

The Munsters

Fans of the classic ’60s sitcom “The Munsters” have the opportunity to get their hands on a complete prototype of Grandpa Munster created for The Hamilton collection as well as head sculpts for Grandpa Munster and Eddie Munster.

The Grandpa Munster doll is on sale for $180, while the individual head sculpts are priced at $305 a piece.

King Kong

For fans of the monstrous primate King Kong, Bruckner is parting ways with two Kong prototypes from his collection. The first is a head prototype, which is being sold for $265.

The second item in the collection is a full figure tool part, which is being sold for $940.

Universal Monsters

While these aren’t your typical takes on Universal Monsters, they’re definitely inspired by the classic horror characters. There are two paint master’s being sold by Bruckner in the sale that are inspired by the Bride of Frankenstein as well as the Wolf Man.

The Baby Bride of Frankenstein and Baby Wolf Man paint masters were tools used by the artist, commissioner, and factory to make final decisions around paint schemes.
