The spirits of the Queen Mary are trading their haunts for heartbeats this February. Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group—the masterminds behind the legendary Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor—has announced an all-new immersive “Valloween” experience: Dark Masquerade.
Opening on the ominous Friday the 13th and running through Valentine’s Day (Saturday, February 14), this limited-run event offers a lethal twist on romance for those who prefer their date nights with a side of dread.
Instead of the sprawling mazes of the Halloween season, Dark Masquerade is a high-energy, after-hours takeover of the Queen Mary. Under dimmed chandeliers and creeping fog, guests will join a masquerade dance party led by The Ringmaster and their Henchies, featuring macabre tracks spun by LVCRFT’s DJ Kiltrina.
While Dark Harbor’s usual mazes and attractions will not be available at the event, the ship’s belly is opening for something far more personal. Guests will descend into the hull for story-driven, interactive encounters with Dark Harbor’s most iconic residents: Graceful Gale, Scary Mary, and Chef.
Gale’s Requiem: Enter a rarely accessed area of the ship for this atmospheric encounter. Follow the bass-heavy vibrations along grated catwalks and humming pipes into the “resonance” circle. Here, Dr. Edwin Masters’ final test unravels, and Graceful Gale seizes the baton—turning the room, and the audience, into her private orchestra.
The Search for Mary: Traverse the depths of the Queen Mary, only by the eerie glow of a single red glowstick, you and your sweetheart slip through shadowed corridors in pursuit of mischievous Scary Mary. Keep close; she loves to play, and she famously hates goodbyes.
Sweethearts’ Slaughterhouse: While last year marked the final year for the Feast maze at Dark Harbor, Chef still has unfinished business. This interactive experience features themed storytelling and a curated “tasting.” Peek through swinging kitchen doors and decode Chef’s love-letter menu before deciding if you dare a nibble of his latest dessert.
General Admission and VIP Admission include everything mentioned thus far; however, VIP Admission also includes expedited entry and priority access to Gale’s Requiem.
VIP guests will also gain access to the exclusive experience Pressure Test: Bound Below. Cuffed together, you and a chosen companion must submit to Half Hatch Henry’s grueling test of noise, darkness, and proximity as the Queen Mary’s heavy machinery sets the pulse-pounding tempo.
