Travel Channel To Search For ‘Portals To Hell’ In New Series Debuting This April

Jack Osbourne, and paranormal researcher and investigator Katrina Weidman

The Travel Channel has become a paranormal lovers paradise. The channel, which is already home to paranormal series “Ghost Adventures,” “Haunted Live,” “Scariest Night of My Life,” and of course last years “Ghostober,” has announced an all-new paranormal series “Portals to Hell.”

Starring Jack Osbourne and paranormal researcher and investigator Katrina Weidman, the eight-part series will explore locations around the world that have a reputation for being especially sinister and are believed to be doorways to the spirit world. In each of the eight hour-long episodes, Osbourne and Weidman dive headfirst into a different historical site, examining unusual incidents while utilizing specialized technology and a network of experts to help document and uncover the truth.

Over the course of the series the two will visit Bobby Mackey’s Music World in Kentucky, Eastern State Penitentiary in Pennsylvania, the Alaskan Hotel in Juneau, Ohio’s Twin City Opera House, Strawberry River Bed and Breakfast on the outskirts of Utah’s Skinwalker Ranch, Pennsylvania’s Emerald Hill Estate, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virginia and will be the first and only paranormal team to ever investigate the disturbing hauntings at the infamous LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans.

While many remember Jack Osbourne as son of musician Ozzy Osbourne from the early 2000’s MTV series, “The Osbournes,” he has recently made a name for himself with shows like A&E Network’s “Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour,” SYFY’s “Haunted Highway,” and most recently when he was featured on UK’s live “Celebrity Haunted Mansion” alongside “Ghost Hunters” star Jason Hawes.

“I’ve been obsessed with the supernatural ever since I was a kid,” said Jack Osbourne in a statement. “I’m excited to team up with Katrina to investigate the darkest, most sinister places on earth. We’re walking headfirst into the heart of darkness – and we’re excited to take brave viewers with us.”

Katrina Weidman has worked on hundreds of cases of unexplained paranormal phenomena, making a name for herself on A&E’s “Paranormal State” alongside world-renowned paranormal researchers. Weidman also served as co-host and producer of “Paranormal Lockdown” on TLC and Destination America, as well as Chiller’s “Real Fear: The Truth Behind the Movies” (2012) and “The Truth Behind More Movies” (2013). She frequently gives talks and lectures at paranormal conferences and conventions around the world.

“For over a decade, my work in the paranormal field has brought me to the edge of the unknown,” said Katrina Weidman in a statement. “As we explore these disturbing locations, these potential portals, Jack and I are determined to document as much as we can to try and uncover the source of these hauntings.”

“Portals to Hell” will premier on Friday, April 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The Travel Channel.
