Universal CityWalk Hollywood To Screen ‘Jaws’ for Film’s 50th Anniversary


Universal CityWalk Hollywood is inviting moviegoers to join in the 50th anniversary celebration of Universal Pictures’ blockbuster thriller, “Jaws.” The film will have a limited screening engagement at Universal Cinema from August 28 through September 4, 2025.

The Universal Cinema at Universal CityWalk is the only theatrical venue in the world to feature both a six-story 70MM IMAX with 4K laser projection and PRIME at AMC, featuring 4K laser projection, superior acoustics, and heated, plush recliner seats with built-in subwoofer technology. “Jaws” will screen in IMAX, PRIME, and RealD 3D. For specific screening dates and times and to purchase tickets, guests can visit Universal Cinema.

Directed by Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg, “Jaws” was first released on June 20, 1975. When the seaside community of Amity finds itself under attack by a dangerous great white shark, the town’s chief of police (Roy Scheider), a young marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss), and a grizzled shark hunter (Robert Shaw) embark on a desperate quest to destroy the beast before it strikes again. Featuring an unforgettable score that evokes pure terror, five decades on, Universal Pictures’ “Jaws” remains one of the most influential and gripping adventures in motion picture history.
