Universal Horror Unleashed, the new year-round horror experience coming to Las Vegas’ AREA15, is set to open this August. The horror destination has been teasing some of its haunted houses, like “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “The Exorcist: Believer.” Now, it has debuted a new video showcasing its Universal Monster haunted house.
Through this latest tease, Universal Horror Unleashed shares that the Universal Monsters haunted house will have guests following in the footsteps of famed monster-hunter Van Helsing as he enters the realms of some of the most iconic monsters in Universal’s storied history, including “The Wolf Man,” “Frankenstein,” “Creature from the Black Lagoon,” and more.
While Universal first started bringing its monsters to life on screen in the 1920s, they only more recently started building haunted houses around them, with the first contemporary Universal Monsters house appearing at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2018. The Universal Monsters have continued to appear in fresh new haunted houses each year since at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort, with houses like “Universal Monsters: Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man,” “Universal Monsters: Legends Collide,” “Universal Monsters: Unmasked” and “Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines.” This all-new haunted house looks to bring many of the horrors we’ve seen to date into a single house experience.
Universal Horror Unleashed will open on August 14, 2025. In addition to four haunted houses pulled from Universal’s library of classic and modern horror favorites, it will feature four fully themed immersive entertainment areas, each with unique live horror experiences and food and drink offerings.
