Vans Teases New Shoe Collection Inspired by Your Favorite Horror Films

Shoemaker Vans took to social media this week to tease its new Vans X Horror collection, which will debut this October. The new collection features a variety of styles inspired by iconic horror films.

The brief teaser for the new collection features shoes that appear to be inspired by “IT,” “A Nightmare On Elm Street,” “The Shining,” and “Friday the 13th.”

The “IT” themed shoes appear to be Vans’ Authentic style shoe with a checkered print toebox and a red balloon allover print and what appears to be the words, “YOU’LL FLOAT TOO” scrawled across the midsole. The “A Nightmare On Elm Street” inspired shoes take inspiration from the sweater of the film’s iconic killer, Freddy Krueger. The SK8-Hi style shoes feature red and green stripes and blood spatter across the shoe for an added horror touch. Also using the SK8-Hi as a base is the new shoe inspired by “The Shining.” The black and yellow shoes feature the logo from the 1980 film, and the words “REDRUM” scrawled across the midsole. And finally, the “Friday the 13th” shoes feature Jason Voorhees’ hockey mask and the film’s logo across the top of Vans’s slip-on style shoes.

Beyond this tease, further details were not released other than the new collection will drop sometime in October. More info is sure to be released in the coming weeks.
