[WATCH] Ghosts, Ghouls and Familiar Faces Arrive in New Trailer for ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’


On Tuesday, Sony Pictures released an all-new trailer for “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” the “Ghostbusters” sequel that was originally slated for a 2020 release but is now arriving this fall.

The film, which takes place decades after the first two “Ghostbusters” films tells the story of a single mom and her two kids who happen to be the descendants of original Ghostbuster Dr. Egon Spengler. As they pick through what Spengler left behind, they soon discover his legacy and the legacy of the Ghostbusters with a little help from Paul Rudd’s Mr. Grooberson.

While the previous trailer focused on introducing familiar technology like ghost traps, proton packs, and the Ecto-1. The latest trailer is more focused on the legacy of Egon Spengler, his connection to the events in the new film, and showcasing some familiar faces and voices from the “Ghostbusters” franchise.

“Ghostbusters: Afterlife” arrives exclusively in theaters in November.
