Would You Eat a Rotten Zombie Flavored Skittle?

Store shelves are still loaded with Halloween candy for 2018, but according to Candy Hunting, Wrigley is already making plans for 2019 and one of those plans is to release Zombie Skittles. In the same vein of Harry Potterâ„¢ Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans or BeanBoozled Jelly Beans from Jelly Belly, Wrigley appears to be banking on the idea that people will be craving the taste of zombie flesh next year.

Hidden among fruit flavors citrus punch, melon, blackberry, black cherry, and red berry will be “rotten zombie” flavored skittles. While it’s an interesting gimmick, I’m a bit unsure about this one. With Jelly Belly, though gross, you’ve probably tasted a booger, vomit, earwax, or spoiled milk in some way shape or form in real life.  And while an “earthworm” jelly bean has about the same appeal as a “rotten zombie” Skittles candy, I at least pondered the idea of earthworms as a kid thanks to Thomas Rockwell’s 1973 children’s book “How To Eat Fried Worms.” Rotten zombie just sounds putrid and I don’t know if I could do it.

When Zombie Skittles hit stores for Halloween 2019, will you try them? Let me know in the comments or on social media!
