Paramount+ has announced that “Scream 7,” the latest chapter in the iconic meta-horror franchise, will make its streaming debut in the U.S. and Canada on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Directed by Kevin Williamson—the screenwriter behind the original 1996 film—this seventh installment marks the highly anticipated return of Neve Campbell as ultimate final girl Sidney Prescott. In the new film, a fresh Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney has built a peaceful new life. Her darkest fears are realized when her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the killer’s primary target, forcing Sidney to face the horrors of her past to protect her family’s future.
Courteney Cox also reprises her legendary role as the cutthroat newswoman-turned-true-crime author Gale Weathers. The ensemble cast features a mix of franchise newcomers and veterans, including Anna Camp, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, McKenna Grace, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Mark Consuelos, Tim Simons, and Joel McHale. The film also features appearances from franchise alumni David Arquette and Matthew Lillard.
Released theatrically worldwide by Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group in February, “Scream 7” killed its box office competition. While it divided critics—currently sitting at a rocky 31% on Rotten Tomatoes—horror fans showed up in droves. The sequel carved out over $214 million worldwide, officially securing its spot as the highest-grossing installment in the franchise’s 30-year history.
