Genre producer Steven Schneider (“Paranormal Activity”) is teaming up with AI production platform Artlist and AI-native studio Secret Level to develop the horror feature “Terrarium.” The project reunites Schneider with filmmaker Jason Zada; the duo previously collaborated on the indie genre film “The Houses October Built.”
Zada will write and direct the high-concept horror project, which is currently in pre-production. Positioned as a hybrid production, “Terrarium” aims to blend AI-powered tools with traditional filmmaking craftsmanship within a fully DGA and SAG-AFTRA-compliant workflow. The partnership will integrate Artlist’s AI platform directly into Secret Level’s proprietary pipeline to support a large-scale, cinema-grade feature.
“What drew me to ‘Terrarium’ was Jason,” says Schneider. “He has a rare ability to make audiences experience something they can’t explain… With ‘Terrarium,’ he’s pushing into completely new territory. The way he’s making this film is unlike anything I’ve been a part of in twenty years of genre filmmaking.”
Christina Lee Storm is producing for Secret Level. Artlist will finance and executive produce, marking the company’s official foray into feature filmmaking.
