Inaugural HallowScreamCon in Las Vegas Postponed to 2027

The inaugural HallowScreamCon and HallowScreamFest—billed as the first-ever global entertainment convention inspired by the spirit of Halloween—has officially been postponed to 2027. Originally set to take place this October in Las Vegas, organizers announced the delay on Monday.

Organizers took to Instagram to post an official statement, followed by an emotional video from Kelly-Marie Warnell, CEO of Screen Masters International, the agency behind the convention. The postponement comes as many of the festival’s international investors opted to pull out of this year’s run amid ongoing global conflict and rising political and economic turmoil, which has had significant impacts on tourism and live events. Instead, financiers are favoring a 2027 rollout, hoping for greater market stability and long-term growth potential.

As a result, HallowScreamCon will now take place September 30 through October 3, 2027, in Las Vegas alongside HallowScreamFest, which will now run September 30 through October 4, 2027.

The team reportedly spent the last six weeks trying to salvage the convention in its original scope, but after exhausting every possible avenue, made the difficult decision to pivot to next year.

“This decision has not been made lightly,” the organizers shared in a written statement. “We could have moved forward with a reduced version of the event in 2026 simply to say it happened, but that is not why this project was created. We did not spend years building this brand, this world and this experience only to launch a version that feels compromised, scaled back or below the standard our audience deserves.”

Ticket holders, vendors, celebrity guests, charities, partners, sponsors, performers, and collaborators should have already been notified of the postponement via email. However, organizers are asking anyone who may have been missed to contact the team directly at screamteam@screenmastersint.com.
