Star-Studded Horror Feature ‘Ever After’ Sets North American Theatrical Release

Five horror legends are set to share the screen for the very first time.

Level 33 Entertainment has officially acquired the U.S. and Canadian distribution rights for “Ever After,” a star-studded, dark fairy tale nightmare from writer/director László Illés (“Haunting Trophies”). Genre fans won’t have to wait long to witness the madness, as the film is set for an exclusive theatrical release on September 4, 2026.

“Ever After” boasts a dream team of genre icons, bringing together a cast that spans decades of cinematic terror that includes Mark Sheppard (“Supernatural”), Bonnie Aarons (“The Nun”), Michael Berryman (“The Hills Have Eyes”), Kane Hodder (“Friday the 13th”), and Malcolm McDowell (“A Clockwork Orange”).

The film tells of a bachelorette weekend at a secluded forest lodge that quickly descends into terror when a group of friends discovers that the surrounding woods are inhabited by murderous fanatics who believe they are the heroes and villains of childhood fairy tales. Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, the Evil Witch, Prince Charming, and other familiar figures emerge from the darkness, turning childhood stories into a brutal fight for survival where every fairy tale ends in blood.

Produced by Intergalactic Pictures, McClurg Productions, Harambee Grey-Sun Productions, Stag Mountain Films, and Avali Productions, “Ever After” promises to rely heavily on practical creature effects, massive set pieces, and unpredictable twists.

For filmmaker László Illés, bringing these titans of terror together was a surreal experience.

“As a lifelong horror fan, working with Mark Sheppard, Bonnie Aarons, Michael Berryman, Kane Hodder and Malcolm McDowell was something I could only dream about for many years,” said Illés. “Watching these incredible actors bring our twisted fairy tale world to life was an unforgettable experience and one of the greatest highlights of my career. Every one of them gave everything to their characters, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we created together. I sincerely hope horror fans around the world will enjoy this dark and unpredictable journey as much as we enjoyed making it.”

The theatrical acquisition was negotiated by Laszlo Illés and co-producer Luis Chen on behalf of the filmmakers, and by Andreas Olavarria and Taryn Procsal on behalf of Level 33 Entertainment.

“Ever After” will open exclusively in theaters across the United States and Canada on September 4, 2026, before beginning its worldwide rollout.
