Lionsgate has released first-look images for the upcoming creature feature “Beware Boiúna,” directed by Mike P. Nelson (“Silent Night, Deadly Night”). The horror film hits U.S. theaters Oct. 2.
Starring Kiana Madeira (The “Fear Street” trilogy), Jessica Rothe (The “Happy Death Day” franchise), and Logan Marshall-Green (“The Invitation”), the film follows a team of doctors who embark on a mission deep in the Amazon rainforest.
Their arrival awakens a colossal ancient predator who emerges to reclaim her domain. Trapped in a jungle where nature reigns supreme, the team faces a desperate fight for survival against a creature that decides who lives and who dies.
Written by Alan McElroy (“Wrong Turn”), the film is produced by Jeremy Bolt and Robert Kulzer.
