Telltale and PM Studios unveiled a new trailer for The Wolf Among Us Remastered during Tuesday’s ID@Xbox x IGN Showcase, offering fans a first look at Bigby Wolf’s redesigned, full werewolf form ahead of its Oct. 29 release.
Rebuilt for modern platforms, the definitive edition of Telltale’s 2013 choice-driven thriller returns players to Fabletown with enhanced environments, upgraded character models, refined animation, and a new “Noir Mode” that presents the game in classic black and white. Bonus content includes five fully playable “Lost Scenes,” an extensive 100+ image art gallery, and over an hour of behind-the-scenes developer interviews.
Based on Bill Willingham’s acclaimed DC/Vertigo comic book series Fables, the mature detective drama follows Bigby Wolf, Sheriff of Fabletown, as he investigates a grisly murder threatening to expose a hidden community of fairytale characters living in 1980s Manhattan.
Players can sample the upgrades today with a free Steam Next Fest demo featuring the complete first episode, “Faith,” available through Oct. 26. The demo also includes the newly released “Remastering a Legend” featurette, which details the game’s graphical overhaul.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches digitally Oct. 29 on PlayStation 5, Xbox One (playable on Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility), and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store for $24.99. Launch discounts will be available for new buyers, alongside additional savings for owners of the original digital game.
A Nintendo Switch release will follow at a later date, with physical retail editions scheduled for early 2027. With The Wolf Among Us 2 slated for 2027, the remaster provides longtime fans and newcomers alike the ultimate entry point before Bigby’s story continues.
