Earlier this month, Bath & Body Works gave its Rewards members special early access to its 2023 Halloween collection. This year’s lineup boasts nearly 100 limited-edition products and includes several returning favorites, along with new fragrances and accessories. On Monday, Bath & Body Works officially launched its 2023 Halloween collection nationwide with an enchanting assortment that is bigger and more innovative than ever. This year the retailer is promising an immersive and hauntingly fun shopping experience delivered to customers, including a spooky soundtrack and over-the-top product displays in stores, and a complete Halloween takeover across the brand’s digital channels.
“Thanks to our customers’ fervor and demand, it’s a thrill to expand our Halloween collection this year and celebrate their love for spooky season with them,” said Jamie Sohosky, Chief Marketing Officer at Bath & Body Works. “Our Halloween assortment is notoriously known to sell out quickly. That’s why we rewarded members of our loyalty program with exclusive early access to the highly anticipated launch.”
This year’s new fragrances are Everlasting Magic, Wicked Vanilla Woods, Midnight Spell, Moonlit Graveyard, and Spellbinding Sweets. The retailer is also bringing back beloved Halloween favorite fragrances like Vampire Blood, which originally debuted in 2015.
“Our customers have always had a passion for Halloween and as we’ve seen that passion grow in recent years, it’s been an exciting challenge to continue to surprise and delight them with new, innovative ideas year after year,” said Betsy Schumacher, Chief Merchandising Officer at Bath & Body Works. “With this year’s Halloween collection, we wanted to give customers the spooky details they love with a bewitching twist to help transport them to enchanted castles and haunted graveyards.”
Everlasting Magic has fragrance notes of berries, rose petals, and musk and is described as “strolling through an enchanted garden on a starry night.” The new fragrance is available as a mist, candle, body cream, shimmer fizz body lotion, diamond shimmer mist, and shower gel.
Wicked Vanilla Woods features notes of vanilla, amberwood, and pink pepper and is described as “walking through a haunted forest on a sweet, spooky night.” The new scent is available as a hand soap and a Wallflowers fragrance refill.
The Midnight Spell fragrance is as ambiguous as an actual midnight spell. The only description given is that it smells like “an enchanted walk in the woods,” and the fragrance notes are “mystic air, moonlit woods, and crystal amber.” Midnight Spell is available as a shower gel, diamond shimmer mist, candle, fragrance mist, body cream, and shimmer fizz body lotion.
Like Midnight Spell, Moonlit Graveyard also lacks a clear fragrance representation. The notes listed for this scent are listed as “tombstone moss, cold foggy air, and eerie incense.” The fragrance is available as a candle, foaming hand soap, gel hand soap, Wallflower fragrance refill, and room spray.
Rounding out this year’s new fragrances is Spellbinding Sweets, which is available only as a foaming hand soap and features notes of lollipops, sweet bubblegum, and berries.
