The chilling world of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is set to haunt the big screen once more, as Blumhouse unleashes the official trailer for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2,” the highly anticipated sequel to its 2023 hit. Slated for release on December 5, 2025, the new trailer hints at a darker, more intense experience, diving deeper into the unsettling lore that has captivated millions.
The trailer opens with a group of teenagers exploring what’s referred to as ‘the original’ Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza location, where a young girl was allegedly murdered. While this deviates somewhat from the “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” video game, which actually takes place at a newer Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, the movie appears to be adopting the “toy” animatronics from the game, which feature a more glossy, plastic appearance, with round, rosy cheeks and larger eyes.
The trailer also suggests the film picks up sometime after the terrifying events of the first movie, as Mike (Josh Hutcherson), his girlfriend Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail), and his sister Abby (Piper Rubio) attempt to move on with their lives. However, their fragile peace is shattered when a seemingly innocent Freddy Fazbear toy calls out to Abby, inexorably drawing the trio back into another night of terror.
