Bryan Fuller’s Fantasy Thriller ‘Dust Bunny’ Arrives on VOD

Lionsgate has announced the VOD arrival of “Dust Bunny,” the feature directorial debut from writer-director Bryan Fuller (“Hannibal”).

The fantasy thriller follows 10-year-old Aurora and her enigmatic neighbor, a professional hitman who specializes in slaying real-life monsters. Convinced that a creature under her bed devoured her family, Aurora enlists his services. Suspecting that her parents may have actually fallen victim to assassins targeting him, the guilt-stricken neighbor takes the job. To protect Aurora, he must navigate an onslaught of rival assassins, a mysterious associate with killer heels, and the terrifying realization that some monsters are very real.

The film boasts a powerhouse ensemble cast, including Mads Mikkelsen (“Hannibal”), Sophie Sloan (“Chemistry of Death”), Sigourney Weaver (“Alien” franchise), David Dastmalchian (“Late Night with the Devil”), Rebecca Henderson (“Russian Doll”), and Sheila Atim (“The Woman King”).

Following a limited theatrical run in December—where it earned a modest $582,934 domestically—”Dust Bunny” has emerged as a critical darling. Praised for its vivid stylistic direction and dark whimsy, the film currently holds an impressive 84% critic score and 82% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
