On Thursday, Build-A-Bear debuted its 2025 Halloween collection. The Halloween lineup includes new releases as well as returning favorites, which are available now online or at your local Build-A-Bear Workshop. Highlights from this year’s releases include a posable bat, a Skelebara, a Zombie Axolotl, and the return of Pumpkin Kitty as part of Build-A-Bear’s Vault Collection. Spooky Kitty
This adorable stuffed kitty is purple and features an all-over ghost print. Spooky Kitty is available as aย standalone stuffed animal, inย a gift set featuring a black bow, as aย stuffed animal paired with a matching Build-A-Bear Mini Bean, or simply as aย limited-edition Mini Bean Spooky Kitty.
Posable Bat
This all-new bat plush features posable wings, allowing you to pose this stuffed bat in different positions. The posable bat is available as a standalone plush, or as part of the “Wanna Hang?” Gift Set (pictured below), or the Halloween Gift Set.
Skelebara
This spooky capybara plush is designed to resemble a capybara skeleton. It is available as aย standalone plush, aย Mini Beans plush, aย Spooky Cute Gift Setย featuring an orange skeleton onesie and jack-o-lantern headband, or aย Halloween Gift Setย complete with a festive Halloween tutu.
Vault Collection: Pumpkin Kitty
Initially introduced in 2008, Pumpkin Kitty has been re-released for the last three Halloween seasons. After rapidly selling out in 2023 and generating a waitlist of nearly 25,000 fans eager for the limited-time comeback, Pumpkin Kitty returned in 2024 as a classic make-your-own version, a Mini Bean size version, and a giant version. For 2025, Pumpkin Kitty returns as an online exclusive as a classic make-your-own version, or with a black gifting bow, or as part of the Pumpkin Kitty Gift Set, featuring the kitty dressed as a jack-o’-lantern.
Zombie Axolotl
This zombiefied axolotl is available as a classic build-your-own stuffed animal, asย a Mini Beans stuffed animal, or in various gift sets, including theย Zombie Axolotl Halloween Gift Setย (pictured below).
Pumpkin Teddy Bear
While the longtime favorite Pukmpkin Glow Teddy Bear is still available for 2025, Build-A-Bear looks to have also given the bear an updated look for several new releases, which include the Light-Up Pumpkin Glow Teddy Bear, a Mini Beans plush, and several gift sets, such as the Light-Up Pumpkin Glow Teddy Bear Halloween Gift Set (pictured below).
Dรญa de los Muertos Teddy Bear
In the Halloween-adjacent category, Build-A-Bear has also introduced a Dรญa de los Muertos Teddy Bear, inspired by the Mexican holiday. The bear is available as a standalone plush, or as part of the dress or suit gift sets (pictured below) featuring the bear in festive Dรญa de los Muertos attire.
Licensed Characters
Several licensed characters are also getting in the Halloween spirit at Build-A-Bear. Part of the collection includes Halloween-themed versions of Disney’s Bluey and Stitch, as well as returning bears inspired by “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” On August 14, Build-A-Bear will also debut a new collection of Halloween Sanrio plush, which were so popular last year, leaked images of the products forced Build-A-Bear to bump up the release of last year’s Halloween collection. This year’s Sanrio lineup features Monster Cinnamoroll, Wickedly Cute Kuromi, Skeleton Hello Kitty, and Pumpkin Pompompurin.
