CD Projekt Red and Zero Latency VR Bringing the World of Cyberpunk 2077 Into Immersive VR

Zero Latency VR has announced a new collaboration with CD Projekt Red to bring the award-winning universe of Cyberpunk 2077 into its warehouse-scale VR format.

This brand-new in-person experience is built from the ground up for Zero Latency’s untethered technology. For the first time, fans can physically walk through the dark-future megalopolis of Night City, moving with their squad through a shared space without wires holding them back. While the experience is a self-contained story rather than a direct port of the 2020 RPG, it promises to capture the gritty, high-octane atmosphere that made the game a global phenomenon.

“Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most richly imagined worlds in modern entertainment,” said Tim Ruse, CEO of Zero Latency VR. “Zero Latency experiences are about freedom of movement and shared adrenaline, and Night City is a world that begs to be explored at a human scale.”

Since its launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has evolved into a powerhouse of the genre, bolstered by the acclaimed Phantom Liberty expansion and the Edgerunners anime. By leveraging Zero Latency’s global network of arenas and wireless, full-body tracking, this collaboration aims to offer a social, immersive adventure that moves the franchise beyond the screen.

While specific plot details and gameplay mechanics are still under wraps (keep your eyes peeled for a release date), The Cyberpunk 2077 immersive VR experience is set to launch at Zero Latency VR locations worldwide.
