Celebrate an Early Halloween on March 31, with #Quarantineoween

Halloween is still seven months away, but the Halloween community on Instagram is looking to celebrate early and liven things up amidst the various stay-at-home orders being enacted in states across the U.S. and abroad. Instagram user ghostine introduced the idea last week and it has quickly become a movement.

The idea behind Quarantineoween is simple, bust out some of your Halloween decorations, put on a Halloween costume, snap a photo and then share it on social media with the hashtag #Quarantineoween to spread some spooky spirit with your fellow Halloween lovers during these uncertain times.

But that’s not all, the Spooky Bitches of Lubbock have expanded the celebration to include an all-day live event featuring various Halloween and horror personalities offering up spooky live entertainment, demonstrations, tutorials and more! Check out the full lineup below and head over to the event page on Facebook for details on how to tune in.

The current COVID-19 pandemic has left many people anxious, lonely, and fearful and this is just another fun way the Halloween community is coming together to try and make these wild times a little bit more bearable. I can’t wait to see all your Quarantineoween photos on March 31!
