Walt Disney Animation Studios has conjured up the very first trailer for “Hexed,” an all-new magical coming-of-age saga slated to hit theaters on November 25, 2026.
The vibrant trailer introduces audiences to Billie (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl who unexpectedly discovers she possesses secret magical abilities. Once unleashed, her powers hurtle her out of quiet suburbia and into Hexe, a vast, spectacle-filled realm of witches. To navigate this dangerous new reality, Billie is forced to team up with her cautious mother, Alice (voiced by Rashida Jones), as the duo uncovers deep family mysteries that could alter the witch world forever.
Alongside Steinfeld and Jones, Disney revealed several new additions to the enchanted ensemble. Comedy icon Tracey Ullman (“The Tracey Ullman Show”) will voice Ms. Quill, an eccentric, living feather quill pen. She is joined by Stephen Fry (“Gosford Park”), who lends his distinct voice to Elias Quire, a sentient magical journal.
Co-director Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Wish”) teased that Billie’s journey is one that will resonate deeply with anyone who has ever felt like an outsider:
“A wonderfully strange phenomenon is happening all around Billie, something she can’t explain,” said Veerasunthorn. “She’s someone who has felt miscast in her own life, and it takes leaving her normal world behind and entering a hidden world of wild, unhinged magic to begin to understand herself.”
Disney’s “Hexed” is directed by Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with Josie Trinidad (“Zootopia”) serving as co-director. The project is produced by Roy Conli (“Big Hero 6”) and Yvett Merino (“Encanto”).
“Hexed” opens exclusively in theaters on November 25, 2026.
