Disney Announces Dates and Early Details on Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort for 2019

Last month we learned that Disneyland’s annual special ticketed nighttime Halloween event would be moving to Disney California Adventure. This was the first bit of news released regarding Halloween 2019, but in a Passholder email today, the resort unveiled more details for Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort for 2019, including a start date of September 6, 2019. Check out the initial details on this year’s spooky offerings below!

As has been the case for the last few years, Oogie Boogie will again be at the heart of Disney California Adventure Park’s Halloween festivities haunting the parks entrance and Buena Vista Street and the Headless Horseman will return as the area’s decorative center piece.

Radiator Springs to Again Transform Into “Radiator Screams”

Radiator Springs AKA “Cars Land” will again get the Halloween overhaul as your favorite cars and trucks get in the spirit to celebrate Haul-O-Ween. The land will again get a Halloween layover and some of your favorite cars characters like Lightning McQueen and Mater will appear decked out in their Haul-O-Ween costumes.

As in past years, two of the area’s attractions will get in the Halloween spirit as Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters transforms into “Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween” and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree becomes “Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree.” Both attractions will get a spooky overlay and feature season specific attraction tunes.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Get in the Halloween Spirit with “Monsters After Dark”

Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Break Out’s Halloween overlay will also return for 2019 with “Monsters After Dark” a special Halloween adventure where you’ll join Rocket Raccoon as he races to save Groot from the menacing beasts and monsters that have overrun the Collector’s Fortress.

Disneyland

Despite the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge AKA “Star Wars Land” and moving the park’s Halloween party to Disney California Adventure, there is still plenty of seasonal fun to be had at Disneyland in 2019.

Disney’s Happiest Haunts Tour

The park’s spookiest guided tour will also return for Halloween 2019. For $99 (plus the cost of park admission) guests can embark on a 2.5-hour tour exploring the legends of various film and park poltergeists, pranksters and other creepy characters and even encounter on of the Haunted Mansion’s most familiar faces. More details on the tour can be found here.

Main Street Pumpkin Festival

Main Street USA will again play host to the annual Pumpkin Festival with hundreds of hand carved jack-o-lanterns lining the shop windows and streets and an enormous Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern at the heart of it all.

Costumed Characters

Disneyland will again see some of your favorite Disney characters take to the streets decked out in their Halloween best. Meet Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas in New Orleans Square or snap a photo with classic Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie along Main Street USA.

Halloween Time returns to the Disneyland Resport on September 6, 2019 and will run through October 31, 2019. More details on food offerings, merchandise, and in-room “Scare-abrations” at park hotels are sure to be announced in the coming months.
