Disneyland Resort Cancels Oogie Boogie Bash Due to COVID-19

Oogie Boogie Bash

In late 2019, the Disneyland Resort announced that Oogie Boogie Bash, the nighttime separate-admission Halloween event, would be returning to Disney California Adventure in 2020. But according to the Orange County Register, that is no longer the case.

According to resort officials, the cancellation comes as the Disneyland Resort awaits theme park reopening guidelines that have yet to be released by the state of California.

Further details on Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort will be shared at a later time as the theme park continues to work toward reopening with guidance from state and federal authorities.

Oogie Boogie Bash debuted at Disney California Adventure Park last year as a new exclusive Halloween experience. Replacing Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park, the event brought with it new shows, entertainment, and experiences.

Oogie Boogie Bash is the third major SoCal Halloween event to be canceled in recent months. Universal also announced on Friday that Halloween Horror Nights would be canceled for 2020 and late last month Epic Entertainment Group announced the cancelation of The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor.
