Disney's HalloweenTime Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern decoration at the Disneyland Resort

As part of the Disney Parks Blogs #HalfwaytoHalloween celebration, we got confirmation that Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort and its after-hours separate ticketed event, Oogie Boogie Bash, would be making their return for 2022. Beyond that, few details were announced. Today the resort announced complete information around the September 2 return of Halloween Time and ticket on-sale info for Oogie Boogie Bash.

Halloween Time At The Disneyland Resort

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort kicks off on September 2 and will run through Halloween. Guests will have the opportunity to experience seasonal decor, Halloween-themed attractions, photo ops with their favorite Disney characters, and indulge in specialty treats throughout the resort.

At Disneyland, your favorite characters will don brand-new Halloween looks, which were teased in April, and will be out and about along with some of your favorite Disney villains.

The Haunted Mansion will also undergo its annual transformation into Haunted Mansion Holiday, with Jack Skellington giving the classic attraction a “The Nightmare Before Christmas” makeover.

And each night at Disneyland during Halloween Time, guests can enjoy the return of “Halloween Screams,” a vibrant projection and light show. On weekend nights, “Halloween Screams” will take to the skies with the addition of frightful fireworks. This Halloween-themed nighttime experience will be viewable from several locations inside the park, including Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, and in front of “it’s a small world.”

Oogie Booie looms over the entrance of Disney California Adventure Park

At Disney California Adventure park, Oogie Boogie from “The Nightmare Before Christmas” will again cast his spell across the park giving Buena Vista Street and Cars Land a Halloween makeover.

Buena Vista Street will be decked out with festive Halloween decor, and here you’ll find Mickey and friends ready to snap photos wearing their old-fashioned Halloween styles. And when the sun sets, the fun starts as Carthay Circle Restaurant comes alive with a swarm of bats and projections that dawn the iconic tower structure. This is also the best time to catch the Headless Horseman statue who looms over Buena Vista Street, holding his jack-o’-lantern head.

In Cars Land, Radiator Springs will become again become Radiator Screams, with a complete Haul-O-Ween makeover. Lightning McQueen, Mater, Cruz, and Red will be greeting guests in their best “car-stumes.” You can also catch a ride on popular Cars Land attractions that rev up with Halloween spirit: Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree opts for a spooky soundtrack to become Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters takes guests on a wicked whirl-a-about to become Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

Over in Avengers Campus, as night falls, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! transforms into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, an exciting and spooky adventure filled with creepy creatures and thrilling drops.

At the back of the park, Paradise Gardens will again transform into Plaza de la Familia, an immersive limited-time celebration inspired by the spirit of Día de los Muertos, that features live entertainment, festive foods, crafts, and more. Plaza de la Familia will return from September 2 – November 2.

Oogie Boogie Bash

Oogie Boogie Bash will return to Disney California Adventure Park for 23 select nights beginning September 6 and through Halloween. The separate-ticket, after-park hours event allows guests to enjoy the park’s attractions, unique entertainment, character sightings, and more while dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes. Highlights of Oogie Boogie Bash include immersive treat trails, “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” show, the “Frightfully Fun Parade,” Villains Grove at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and more.

On June 28 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT), a limited amount of Oogie Boogie Bash tickets go on pre-sale for Magic Key holders, and members of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club may begin to purchase tickets to their own exclusive one-night special event (scheduled for Saturday, September 10). Tickets to the events, except the D23 special event, go on sale to the general public beginning June 30 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT) at Disneyland.com/OogieBoogieBash.
