It may only be February, but the team at Distortions Unlimited has already been hard at work making monsters for the 2026 haunt season. On Thursday, the legendary prop manufacturer unveiled Frankenstein’s Monster, a towering, modern take on the iconic creature.
Expertly hand-sculpted by Tom Cassidy and Mikey Rotella, this seven-foot-tall behemoth is constructed from durable latex foam with a heavy-duty internal armature. The animatronic is designed to “come alive” every 45 seconds, shaking violently as if surging with high-voltage electricity. To complete the laboratory illusion, a removable light cord runs through the head, making it appear as though power is being pumped directly into the Monster’s electrodes.
When the beast isn’t being “shocked” to life, it features ambient audio to keep the spooky atmosphere alive in your home or haunt.
Frankenstein’s Monster is available now at Distortions Unlimited. While its standard price reflects its massive scale, early birds can snag it for a limited time at a discounted rate of $969.
