Eli Roth and Crypt TV Are Bringing a Valentine’s Day VR Slasher to Meta Horizon Worlds

Last Halloween, Eli Roth and Crypt TV teamed up to release what Roth called his “first VR-ror film,” “Eli Roth’s Haunted House: Trick-VR-Treat.” Now, just in time for Valentine’s Day, the two are returning to VR with “Eli Roth’s Be Mine: A VR Valentine’s Slasher.” The new VR horror experience will premiere in Meta Horizon Worlds at 7:00 PM PT on February 10.

Written by Roth and directed by Adam MacDonald, “Eli Roth’s Be Mine: A VR Valentine’s Slasher” stars Peyton List (“Cobra Kai”), Inanna Sarkis (“After We Collided”), and Alanna Ubach (“Euphoria”). The 30-minute 180 and 360-degree immersive VR experience follows Becca, a girl stalked by an anonymous maniac in a Cupid mask, as she finds herself at the center of a frightening Valentine’s Day nightmare.

“We took what worked best in Trick-VR-Treat and upped the body count and storytelling on every level,” said Roth in an Instagram post announcing the film. “It’s a full 30 minute horror movie and you really feel what it’s like to be there inside the story.”

VR horror fans can experience the premiere event in Meta Horizon Worlds’ creepy cabin, which is designed for immersive viewing, on February 10 at 7:00 PM PT. “Be Mine” will also be available for on-demand viewing in VR on Meta Quest TV. And people without a Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro headset will be able to enjoy the short film on the CryptTV Facebook and Instagram.

“Eli Roth’s Be Mine: A VR Valentine’s Slasher” is produced by Crypt TV and Roth in association with Cream Productions.
