Epic Pictures Group has announced the February 2026 release of the mystery thriller “The Huntsman.” The film is slated for a select North American theatrical run on February 6, followed quickly by a VOD release on February 10.
Directed by Kyle Kauwika Harris and based on Judith Sanders’ acclaimed novel, the story follows an ICU nurse who volunteers to care for a coma patient accused of murdering six women. What begins as an act of mercy quickly devolves into a web of obsession and deadly secrets, as a detective races against time to unmask the true killer.
The film stars Shawn Ashmore (“X-Men”), Elizabeth Mitchell (“Lost”), Jessy Schram (“Mad Men”), and Garret Dillahunt (“Fear the Walking Dead”).
“I wanted to tap into the gray areas of morality and the slippery nature of truth,” says director Kyle Kauwika Harris. “The true horror often lies not in what we see, but in what we don’t. The mind’s fragility is both a weapon and a vulnerability.”
Harris adds that the goal of the film is to evoke a “visceral reaction” that lingers, forcing viewers to confront inner demons like grief, guilt, and paranoia.
“The Huntsman” is executive produced by Frank J. Malinoski.
