First Look: Disney+ Unleashes Trailer, Key Art, and More for ‘Marvel Zombies’

All the way back in 2021, it was announced that an animated “Marvel Zombies” series would be coming to Disney+. This week, we got our first look at the series, which is slated to debut on the streaming platform on September 24, 2025.

The series, inspired by the Marvel Comics series of the same name, tells of a world where the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie plague, leaving the world to fend for itself against super-powered undead. It’s up to a group of desperate survivors who discover the key to the undead’s demise to race across a dystopian landscape and risk their lives and limbs to save their world.

The series features the voice talents of many stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Hailee Steinfeld, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani, and Dominique Thorne, among others.

Spider-Man swings over a horde of zombies as he rips their heads off with a slew of webs.

This isn’t the first time Disney+ has borrowed from the popular Marvel Comics zombie spinoff. In season one of its “What Ifโ€ฆ?” series, Marvel Studios explored a “what ifโ€ฆ?” scenario where members of the Avengers are infected by a zombie plague, forcing those who survived the infection to find a cure.

All four episodes of the limited series will premiere on Disney+ on September 24.

“Marvel Zombies” is created by Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells. The series is executive produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Bryan Andrews, and Zeb Wells, and is produced by Danielle Costa and Carrie Wassenaar.
