Peacock announced Wednesday that “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” is officially heading to the small screen. The Blumhouse sequel, based on the global video game phenomenon, will begin streaming exclusively on the platform on April 3, 2026.
Directed by returning filmmaker Emma Tammi, the sequel picks up one year after the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. In the time since, the tragedy has been twisted into a campy local legend, even inspiring the town’s first-ever “Fazfest.”
The story sees Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) struggling to shield Mike’s younger sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), from the grim reality of what happened to her animatronic friends. However, those secrets are threatened when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with the band. Her reunion with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy unearths a long-forgotten horror that had lain hidden for decades, revealing the dark, true origins of the pizzeria.
The film arrives on Peacock following a dominant theatrical run. Released last December, the sequel grossed over $238 million worldwide. While it faced a cold reception from critics—holding a 16% score on Rotten Tomatoes—it remains a massive hit with the Fazbear faithful, boasting an 84% audience score.
