PRM Games has announced the arrival of “Hello Stranger,” the highly anticipated FMV psychological horror-thriller, for PC via Steam for $9.99.
Written and directed by Paul Raschid (“The Complex”), “Hello Stranger” is a gripping Full-Motion Video (FMV) game that tells the story of Cam, a man who conducts life exclusively from his smart homeโwork, shopping, entertainment, and, most notably, socializing, which he does through the Hello Stranger platform, a randomized video chatting app.
During a random chat session, Cam has an unsettling encounter with a masked stranger that turns into a nightmare. The stranger hacks into Cam’s home, locks him inside, and forces him to play three deadly games. Every choice matters. Win the games, or it’s game over. Permanently.
“Hello Stranger” has two story modes: Game Mode and Cinema Mode. Both modes draw on over four hours of live-action content, with multiple branching paths leading to 10 possible endings.
Game Mode is a full FMV game experience featuring interactive mini-games, including a Platformer, a Car Chase, a Shoot ’em up, A Beat ’em up, and a Survival Horror, providing upwards of 20 hours of gameplay.
Cinema Mode is closer to an interactive film experience and was used when the game was featured at film screenings. This mode features limited mini-games that function with traditional choice-based mechanics only.
“Hello Stranger” boasts a star-studded cast that includes George Blagden (“Vikings”), Danny Griffin (“Fate: The Winx Saga”), Christina Wolfe (“The Ark”), Kulvinder Ghir (“Foundation”), Laura Whitmore (“Queenie”),
Yasmin Finney (“Heartstopper”) and Derek Jacobi (“Gladiator”).
The game is out today for PC via Steam with a 10% launch discount for a limited time.
