Yesterday we shared that Ryan Murphy was toying with the idea of bringing back the short-lived horror comedy “Scream Queens.” The shows co-creator took to Instagram asking what fans would want from the show if it returned, but Deadline reports that Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier was quick to squash the rumors during the Television Critics Association winter press tour Wednesday.

“There are no plans right now on ‘Scream Queens’,” said Collier, but added, “Any time Ryan Murphy wants to build something, we take it very seriously.”

So while it’s not an absolute no on a “Scream Queens” revival, the Fox CEO definitely wants people to know that there won’t be anything happening anytime soon.

In the three days since it was posted, Ryan Murphy’s Instagram post suggesting a “Scream Queens” revival has received over 130,000 likes and has received over 21,000 comments. While network execs aren’t champing at the bit to get the show back on the air, it definitely appears there is fan interest. This writer included.
