Full Trailer Arrives for Horror Comedy ‘Lisa Frankenstein’

Last October, we got our first glimpse at the Diablo Cody-penned horror comedy “Lisa Frankenstein.” On Thursday, Focus Features released the first full trailer for the film, giving us a broader look at the film’s plot and a greater taste of the film’s lead characters, played by Kathryn Newton (“Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania”) and Cole Sprouse (“Riverdale”).

The feature-length directorial debut of Zelda Williams, “Lisa Frankenstein,” is set in the ’80s and is a coming-of-age love story about a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse. After the corpse is reanimated through a set of playfully horrific circumstances, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love and happiness.

The film stars Kathryn Newton as Lisa Swallows and Cole Sprouse as The Creature with Liza Soberano, Carla Gugino, Joe Chrest, and Henry Eikenberry.

“Lisa Frankenstein” arrives exclusively in theaters on February 9, 2024.
