‘Lisa Frankenstein’ Gets ‘Slay and Decay’ 8-Bit Video Game Tie-In

Lisa Frankenstein: Slay and Decay

Ahead of the February 9 release of “Lisa Frankenstein,” Focus Features has debuted a new 8-bit video game tie-in called “Slay and Decay.”

Inspired by the movie’s events, you play as Lisa Swallows, followed by The Creature, as you seek body parts to piece together your perfect undead boyfriend, either found on the ground or by slashing your way through hapless victims. Of course, as the body counts stack, the police catch on, and you must then flee to the safety of your tanning bed without getting caught.

“Lisa Frankenstein” is a coming-of-rage love story from acclaimed writer Diablo Cody (“Jennifer’s Body”) about a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse. After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way.

The film is the feature-length directorial debut of Zelda Williams and stars Kathryn Newton (“Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania”), Cole Sprouse (“Riverdale”), Liza Soberano (“Alone/Together”), Henry Eikenberry, Joe Chrest (“Stranger Things”), and Carla Gugino (“The Haunting of Bly Manor”).

“Lisa Frankenstein” arrives in theaters nationwide on Friday, February 9, 2024.
