On Wednesday, Funko kicked off day two of its Funkoween online product reveal event with a heavy helping of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” reveals. But the Tim Burton classic wasn’t the only Disney property to get a significant share of reveals; the collectible toymaker closed out the day showcasing over 30 products inspired by the Disney Villains.

Perhaps the most notable of the reveals was the previously shared Disney Villains Pop! train featuring iconic villains Maleficent, The Evil Queen, Captain Hook, Ursula, and Cruella De Vil. The other Disney Villains product reveals may have felt a little familiar for some. That’s because most of the products were first revealed during Funkoween 2021. The majority of the products were initially slated for a fall 2021 release, but for one reason or another, that didn’t happen, which is likely why many of these products returned for this year’s Funkoween.

Returning Products

The bulk of the products featured for 2022 are made up of Funko Pop!, Funko Deluxe Pop!, and jumbo-sized Pop! figures, which were first showcased in 2021. You’ll notice slight variations among some of the figures; for instance, Cruella De Vil swapped out her 2021 white skin tone with a peach color in 2022. You can see the majority of the returning products below:

The standard Pop! figures are due to be released this July, with the Deluxe Pop! figures set for August. The Jumbo Pop! of Maleficent as a dragon is slated for a July release, with the Amazon Exclusive glow-in-the-dark variant due to be released September 1. New Exclusives

In addition to the returning Pop! figures, Funko did unveil a handful of new exclusives, the first of which are from Target. Joining the previously revealed Hades with Chess Board Pop! figure is a new Maleficent Pop! & Tee set.

Hot Topic will be the exclusive home of three new Disney Villains Blacklight Pop! figures. Dr. Facilier, Maleficent, and Captain Hook are each getting the blacklight treatment.

New Releases

Funk rounded out its day two Disney Villains Funkoween announcements with two all-new products. First, the sea witch from Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” Ursala is getting a Funko Soda figure. The all-new figure is limited to an edition size of 15,000, and collectors have a chance at getting a limited Chase variant of the infamous villain holding King Triton’s trident and wearing a crown.

The all-new Funko Soda figure is slated for an October 2022 release and can be pre-ordered now through Entertainment Earth.

Funko also introduced the first of six new Disney Villains Pop! Deluxe figures. The first figure in the series is a Hot Topic exclusive and features Hades and his minions Pain and Panic. The new figure is available for pre-order now from HotTopic.com. It is expected to begin shipping in early August.

In the image announcing the series, Funko teased the other five figures in the form of silhouettes. The additional Pop! Deluxe figures appear to be Ursula from “The Little Mermaid,” Dr. Facilier and his shadow from “The Princess and the Frog,” Kronk and Yzma from “The Emperor’s New Groove,” and Scar and the hyenas from “The Lion King.” No details on when the additional pieces in the series will be released were announced.

Funkoween will resume on May 19 for its third and final day of product reveals. When all is said and done Funko is expected to have revealed more than 190 different products.
