Ghost in the Machine: Hulu Unveils the Tragic Origins of Huluween’s Uluh

When Hulu announced the return of its Huluween Hub earlier this month, they shared that an evil presence was haunting the platform. Uluh, an evil spirit, was said to be watching from inside as viewers enjoyed their Huluween viewing. On Monday, Hulu unveiled Uluh’s tragic origins with a new short film titled “The Veil.”

In “The Veil,” viewers learn more about the fate of Uluh, a would-be Hollywood star whose career was cut short by a fatal accident. In the afterlife, the starlet now finds the fame that alluded her in life through the Hulu platform. Check out the new short below:


As part of its Huluween event, Hulu premiered 18 brand new Bit Size Halloween shorts, Original and acquired programming in the curated Huluween Hub, including the premieres of horror favorites like “Censor,” “The Evil Next Door,” and “Gaia,” and classics like “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” as well as bone-chilling TV episodes and movies from the Hulu library, curated into hand-picked collections like “Humorous Horror,” “Frights for the Whole Family,” “Terrifying TV,” “Foreign Frights,” and many more!

On October 29, in conjunction with Hulu’s Initiative 29, up-and-coming black filmmaker Philip Youmans’ original short film “Voodoo” will be released on the platform.

The annual Huluween event will continue through Halloween.
