Ghost Keeper Brings Reverse-Horror Strategy to Steam Early Access This January

Fresh off its Kickstarter campaign, the Victorian-era “reverse-horror” experience Ghost Keeper is set to materialize into Steam Early Access on January 28, 2026. At launch, players can expect seven controllable characters, six haunting locations, and a dedicated sandbox mode.

Heavily inspired by the 2003 cult classic “Ghost Master,” the game blends strategy and puzzle-solving with a grotesque sense of humor. Players step into the role of a spectral commander, leading a crew of ghosts, beasts, and demons to terrorize the living. While your goal is to wreak havoc, you’ll need to deploy your minions’ unique abilities mindfully—the Brotherhood of Light is always on standby to thwart your supernatural shenanigans.

The Early Access launch focuses on a story-driven single-player campaign. Players will navigate an engaging plot across six complex missions, each featuring evolving objectives. For those new to the underworld, a comprehensive tutorial will teach you how to manipulate the environment and exploit human fears to your advantage.

Completing the Early Access plot line will unlock a Sandbox Mode. This allows you to return to previously visited locations with your full roster of ghastly minions to experiment with new ways to outmaneuver pesky mortals.

“Ghost Keeper” arrives on Steam Early Access on January 28 for $12.99.
