Haunted Orange County Returning to Walt Disney’s Hollywood Estate for Halloween Ghost Tours

Walt Disney's former Los Feliz estate

Haunted Orange County, one of Southern California’s top sources for historical ghost walks and haunted entertainment, is returning to the preserved estate of Walt Disney this Halloween season to offer a very limited number of tours of the iconic 12 room estate located in Los Feliz, CA.

The home belonged to the Disney family from 1932 – 1950 but later became the residence of Manson family victims Leno and Rosemary La Bianca. Haunted Orange County will be offering two tours this Halloween season, a daytime tour and a nighttime candlelight tour.

The daytime tour will take place on October 29, 30, and 31, 2021, with tours available at 10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, and 2:30 pm. The tour will begin with a brief presentation in Walt’s private screening room of some of the iconic films produced while living in the home (1932 – 1950). The family would typically gather in the screening room to watch movies and dailies from Disney’s studio on Hyperion Avenue just down the hill.

Following the presentation, you’ll be treated to a 30-minute tour of the historic residence, listen to some of the ghost stories associated with the property and get a peek at what life was like for Walt and his family as they resided in the home for nearly two decades.

The nighttime candlelight and spirits tour will take place on October 29, with tours available at 7 pm and 9:30 pm. Upon arrival, guests will be ushered into the outdoor courtyard featuring stunning views overlooking the Los Angeles skyline for cocktails and light refreshments. Following cocktails, you will move into Walt’s private screening room for the aforementioned presentation.

Following the presentation, guests will embark on a 40-minute candlelight tour of the historic haunted residence, learn of shocking and macabre tales and ghostly phenomena associated with the property and the surrounding neighborhood, as well as get a peek at what life was like for Walt and his family as they resided in the home for nearly two decades.

Tickets for both tours go on sale Thursday, August 19 at 9:00 am PST. Tickets for the daytime tours are $85. Tickets for the nighttime candlelight and spirits tour are $189. Each tour group is limited to 20 guests, so space is limited, and these are sure to sell out quickly. Tickets will be available for purchase online at hauntedoc.com at their on-sale time.
