Here’s What I’m Looking Forward to Most at ScareLA 2017

For the second weekend in a row, boils and ghouls from across Southern California will be descending upon a convention center to celebrate their favorite holiday, Halloween.  Last weekend we kicked off the Halloween season in Long Beach, CA at Midsummer Scream, but this week we’ll be scaring up some fun in Los Angeles, CA for ScareLA.  Details on this year’s event have trickled out over the last month or so with details on special appearances, and this year’s host, the Crypt Keeper himself, John Kassir. This week we spent some time mapping out our plans for this weekend’s event and in addition to checking out the massive dark zone, Scarywood, and some of the various film screenings, here’s what we’re most looking forward to at ScareLA 2017:

Saturday, August 5

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Monsters of Folklore: KRAMPUS – The Truth About Your Holiday Horror Bringer
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Universal Studios Hollywood, Halloween Horror Nights
5:30 PM – 6:30 PM: Indie Monsters – A Blumhouse.com Indie Horror Showcase

Sunday, August 6

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Monsters of Times Past – Halloween at The Ren Faire
2:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Monsters of the Internet – From Rural to Internet Lore
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Monsters in Gaming – Walking Dead, The Game

In addition to the above presentations, we’re also excited about the chance to experience the AR haunted house experience, The Summoning,  FLOAT the IT Cinematic VR experience, the Annabelle interactive photo op, and performances by The Rhythm Coffin.

We’ll be at the show all weekend and will be posting across social media so be sure to follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to catch all the fun as it unfolds.
