Midsummer Scream Halloween Festival logo

Midsummer Scream is finally upon us. The summer Halloween festival kicks off tomorrow at the Long Beach Convention Center.  Leading up to the event we’ve featured a number of pieces about some of the exciting things the festival has lined up, including Slashed: The Musical, an Are You Afraid of the Dark? panel, and a grand finale celebrating 45 years of Knott’s Scary Farm.  But what are we most looking forward to?  We’ve started mapping out our weekend plans and in addition to checking out the Screaming Room the Hall of Shadows, and show floor, here are the things we’re looking most forward to seeing:

Saturday

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM:  Knott’s Scary Farm Official Presentation
2:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Ben Cooper Costumes: Past and Future
4:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Submitted for Approval: Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Sunday

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Halloween Decorations: A History
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM: Halloween Horror Nights
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Slashed! The Musical
4:30 PM – 6:00 PM: 45 Years of Knott’s Scary Farm

In addition to the presentations, we’re looking forward to the chance to see Cassandra Peterson aka Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and Jason Voorhees himself, Kane Hodder.

We’ll be at the show all weekend and will be posting across social media so be sure to follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to catch all the fun as it unfolds.
