Mattel Creations has announced a new Hot Wheels collectors set celebrating the milestone 50th anniversary of the blockbuster film “Jaws.”
The set features a die-cast replica of the Orca fishing boat from the film, featuring a mini figure of Chief Brody on the deck, and a die-cast shark. Both can be displayed independently or as part of a diorama that encases the boat and shark in plastic waves with the shark positioned to attack.
Packaged in a window box diorama display with a protective outer flap, the packaging art masterfully recreates the 1970s style. The blister is sculpted and distortion-printed to look like water.
The Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Jaws Set will be available on July 24, 2025 at 9 AM PT from MattelCreations.com.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, “Jaws” arrived in theaters on June 20, 1975, and became the first summer blockbuster, forever changing the movie industry. The thriller tells the story of a menacing great white shark that terrorizes the summer beachgoers of Amity Island. The Orca is the fishing vessel owned by seasoned shark hunter Quint, who teams up with police chief Brody and marine biologist Hooper to rid the town of the aquatic menace.
