Jason Voorhees, the iconic killer from the “Friday the 13th” franchise, is joining Hellbreak, an upcoming horror trading card game from Spin Master, Ghost Galaxy, and Universal Products & Experiences. The hockey-masked terror joins a growing roster of horror icons set to clash when the game launches this fall.
First announced in February, Hellbreak pits classic cinematic monsters against one another in brutal head-to-head card battles. Built on the foundation of the classic Universal Monsters library, the game allows players to craft strategic decks and face off using pop culture’s most famous nightmares.
“From the start, Hellbreak was built to bring together the icons that define the genre, and it simply wouldn’t feel complete without Jason,” said Doug Wadleigh, Spin Master’s President of Toys. “His addition to the first set marks a major milestone for the game and for fans who have been waiting to see these legends collide.”
