Lionsgate Sets June Digital & VOD Release of ‘Amityville Shark House’

Lionsgate has announced that “Amityville Shark House” will arrive on Digital and VOD platforms on June 30, 2026, marking yet another chapter in the ever-expanding low-budget horror franchise built by genre veterans Shawn C. Phillips and Will Collazo Jr.

The film is the latest entry in Phillips and Collazo Jr.’s sprawling unofficial Amityville Universe, a scrappy series of micro-budget horror films that has become something of a cult phenomenon among B-movie enthusiasts. Other entries in the Universe have included titles like “Amityville Karen,” which leaned into internet culture for its horror premise, and “Amityville Zombies,” continuing the franchise’s tradition of mashing the infamous Amityville name with wildly unexpected subgenres.

The story returns to the legendary haunted address, where resident Richard makes a grim discovery: an ominous shark idol buried beneath the house’s decaying floorboards. His unearthing of the relic awakens an ancient, savage supernatural force that begins to merge with him in increasingly terrifying ways. As the entity takes hold, the surrounding coastal town descends into bloody chaos. With each new victim, the creature grows more powerful, drawing the attention of a cult that believes their dark god has finally been reborn in physical form. The film’s central tension hinges on whether anyone can stop the carnage before the evil spreads beyond containment.

Phillips pulls double duty on the project, serving as both co-director and lead actor alongside his longtime collaborator Collazo Jr. Jule Anne Prescoot (“Night of the Zomghouls”), Tasha Tacosa (“Impact Event”), and Maritza Brikisak (“The Lurking Man”) also star.

“Amityville Shark House” will be available for digital purchase and VOD rental on all major platforms starting June 30, 2026.
