Lovecraftian Co-Op Game ‘Eresys’ Coming to Steam this April

Dragonis Games has announced the upcoming release of “Eresys, a new game born from the Lovecraftian Universe.

“Eresys” is a horror-themed four-player co-op game inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. In it, an expelled cultist has unleashed a Void Portal on a cut-off island, leading to the death of the inhabitants and himself. Players must work together to overcome the fears of the Lovecraftian Universe, send the entity back from where it came from, and seal the portal.

Throughout the adventure, players will face off against a range of enemies. As players progress, more enemies spawn, and some may even work together to devour the players. Stealth and light are the keys to survival. Players’ actions affect the noise they make, increasing their risk of attracting monsters. Stealthy movements, such as walking and crouching, result in less noise while running, jumping, and speaking loudly, increase your chances of being detected. Players can pick up lanterns that emit intense light, which can be used to burn enemies or protect teammates. However, oil is limited, so the lanterns must be used sparingly and strategically.

Along the way, players will come across items to help them on their journey. Players can collect vials and gather blood from corpses to make offerings at altars. The altars reward players with blood spheres needed to complete the final ritual. One player can carry the Necronomicon, which has 34 missing pages. The book glows when near a missing page and displays the number of pages collected. The keeper of the book can also cast secret events. Additionally, players will be able to discover hidden objects, collectibles, and cursed items. Collectible items can be displayed in the player’s library, whereas cursed items can trigger unexpected events.

“Eresys” is coming to Steam on April 20, 2023. You can wishlist the game on Steam now.
