The promotional efforts for the hotly anticipated “M3GAN 2.0” are in full swing. Earlier in the month, the film from Universal Pictures and Blumhouse teamed up with Captain Morgan brand rum for a special glow-in-the-dark spiced rum bottle, and now we’ve learned that M3GAN has found her way into the video game “Roblox.”
M3GAN is taking her fight with Amelia, the deadly, advanced AI from the upcoming film, to “Roblox,” where fans can help M3GAN take down Amelia while earning free emotes in the game. To play, players need to head to “M3GAN’s Lair” on “Roblox.” There, they can play dress up and dance with M3GAN before making their way into popular “Roblox” games like “Clip It,” “Evade,” and “Piggy” to take on Amelia and score some free emotes.
“M3GAN 2.0” arrives in theaters on June 27, 2025. The sequel to 2023’s pop culture phenomenon picks up two years after the first film. M3GAN’s creator, Gemma (Allison Williams), has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of AI. Meanwhile, Gemma’s niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now 14, has become a teenager, rebelling against Gemma’s overprotective rules.
Unbeknownst to them, a powerful defense contractor has stolen and misused the underlying tech for M3GAN to create a military-grade weapon known as Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno; “Ahsoka”), the ultimate killer infiltration spy. But as Amelia’s self-awareness increases, she becomes decidedly less interested in taking orders from humans or in keeping them around.
With the future of human existence on the line, Gemma realizes that the only option is to resurrect M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) and give her a few upgrades, making her faster, stronger, and more lethal.
The film co-stars returning Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps as Gemma’s loyal tech teammates, Cole and Tess, and new characters played by Aristotle Athari (“Saturday Night Live”), Timm Sharp (“Never Fall”), and Jemaine Clement (“What We Do in the Shadows”).
