On Thursday, as part of NECA’s 12 Days of Downloads event, NECA released nine high-resolution diorama backgrounds for some of their most popular action figures. Of the nine backgrounds released, seven are designed for its Universal Monsters figures.
NECA has released two backgrounds each for its Frankenstein’s Monster, the Wolf Man, and The Mummy Ultimate figures. The backgrounds are available in color and black and white to coincide with releases of the figures in both color variants. The “Frankenstein” themed backgrounds include a black and white staircase as well as a colorized laboratory. Backgrounds for the “The Mummy” figures are identical images of an open sarcophagus, and “The Wolf Man” backgrounds feature black and white and color variations of two slightly different wooded areas.
The final Universal Monsters background released is a silhouette of a graveyard backlit by red fog, which was designed for the Universal Monsters x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ultimate Raphael as Frankenstein’s Monster figure.
