Netflix Releases ‘Stranger Things 4’ Sneak Peek

It’s been three months since Netflix dropped its official teaser for season four of “Stranger Things,” and since then, fans have been dying to hear more about the upcoming season and, perhaps more importantly, find out when they’ll be able to get their next “Stranger Things” fix. On Friday, the streaming service gave fans exactly what they wanted with an all-new sneak peek video and a confirmed 2022 release for the upcoming season.

While the new teaser doesn’t give us much, in fact, only about 10 seconds of the 30-second video are actually dedicated to the upcoming season, there are a few things from the video that stand out. The first clip that flashes on the screen from the new season seems to suggest that Eleven may somehow wind up back in government custody. There also appears to be a lot happening with an abandoned house. And finally, the season four clips appear to be significantly lacking the characters, Will and Mike. With Will and Eleven moving away from Hawkins at the end of season three, Will’s absence with the broader group makes a bit more sense, but it does seem odd that Mike is out of the picture with most of the group shots consisting of Dustin, Lucas, Steve, Nancy, and Max. It’s hard to say whether or not this has any significance, but it’s definitely odd to have a core character missing from the new footage.

What did you think of the new teaser? Did it get you excited for the next season of “Stranger Things?”
